A 44 year old professional businessman presented to the clinic with a history of shoulder pain (Biceps tendinitis) and low back pain (Disc compression)

P/C: Thoraco-lumbar pain (Back Pain)

History: Some pain in arm on hand ball. 1 yr ago, low back. Stiffness. Spasm. Stopped handball, 3-4 weeks. Middle of back. Constant Pain.

A: Sports injury, handball. R shoulder, 20 yrs. 3-4 yrs later pain . 25 yrs. Stretched biceps tension. Intermitent. Pain on right abduction.
2 yrs ago started handball.
O: appendectomy 23 yrs old, tonsillectomy 6 yrs

Gynaecology: n/a

Clinical Findings: Thoraco-lumbar joint restrictions. Muscle spasm. Stiff neck (Cervical compression)

Dx: Postural induced spinal restrictions of the cervical spine and lumbar spine.

Treatment: Osteopathic manipulation of the lumbar spine. Acupuncture to release muscle tension. Cervical manipulation and traction to improve mobility in the neck and soften the muscles.
